Top Cryptocurrency Apps on iOS in Kenya: Q1 2025 Performance

In the first quarter of 2025, the cryptocurrency app landscape on iOS in Kenya saw varying performance trends across the top five applications. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into weekly downloads and active user metrics.

Human App - Humancoin Wallet experienced a significant surge in downloads, peaking at approximately 12K in mid-February. However, this was followed by a decline, with numbers tapering off to around 143 by the end of March.

TokenPocket: Crypto & Bitcoin displayed a notable increase in weekly downloads, reaching a high of 12.3K in the week of March 17. Active users also showed a positive trend, growing from 20 at the start of the year to 4.9K by the end of the quarter.

Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto maintained a relatively stable download rate, fluctuating around the 1.5K mark throughout the quarter. Active users showed a mild fluctuation, with numbers hovering around 30K, peaking at 33.7K in February.

Pi Network saw an increase in downloads early in the quarter, reaching over 4K in mid-February, before declining towards the end of March. Active user numbers also saw a peak in late February at approximately 14.5K.

Trust: Crypto & Bitcoin Wallet experienced a brief spike in downloads in January, with numbers reaching 3.3K, before stabilizing around the lower hundreds. Active users remained relatively stable, with a slight downward trend from 2K to 1.5K over the quarter.
